Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York was the site of a Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds performance Tuesday night. A pair of special guests joined the duo as the guitarists welcomed Ben The Sax Guy and Hamilton de Holand during the single set appearance.
Ben The Sax Guy (saxophonist Ben Golder-Novick), who had joined the duo at their recent stop in Nashville, emerged toward the second half of the set. He augmented Dave & Tim on DMB favorites “Tripping Billies” and “#41.” Following takes on “Gravedigger” and “So Damn Lucky,” the two guitarists again made room for a guest player as Brazilian bandolinist Hamilton de Holand came on to perform “Corn Bread.” Reynolds and de Holand then offered a debut cover of “Tempo Feliz” before Matthews came back for a trio arrangement of “Two Step.”
Dave & Tim continue their tour tonight at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. Watch audience-recorded video highlights from last night at Jones Beach below:
