While the Dave Matthews Band is currently on hiatus, guitarists Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds recently completed a European Tour and last night began an extensive North American Tour. On Wednesday, Dave & Tim kicked off a run that extends until mid-June with a 26-song performance at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Matthews and Reynolds played a 22-song main set ahead of a pair of encores. The setlist was similar to those from the Europe run with the big exception a split “Lie In Our Graves.” While the guitarists performed nearly all of “Lie In Our Graves,” they didn’t play the tune’s reprise. The “Lie In Our Graves” reprise finally popped up after “Grace Is Gone” to end the evening.

The pair focused on material from perhaps the most beloved DMB albums, Under The Table And Dreaming and Crash, throughout the concert with five songs from the former and four songs from the latter making the cut. Tim Reynolds gave Dave a break at two different points in the night by delivering solo renditions of “A Tangled Web We Weave” and “Manfood.” The show concluded with a first encore of “Crash Into Me,” “Funny The Way It Is” and “What Would You Say” as rain started to pour followed by the aforementioned “Grace Is Gone” and “Lie In Our Graves (Reprise)” second encore.

Dave & Tim now head to New Orleans for a set at this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. The pair will perform on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert next week.
