Hear Dave Matthews Band Perform ‘Recently’ At 2014 Concert In Tampa

Dave Matthews Band shared official audio featuring “Recently” from Live Trax Vol. 59: MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre, the next installment of their Live Trax live archival series. Live Trax Vol. 59 was recorded in Tampa on July 16, 2014 and is set for release on April 22.

“Recently” followed the “#27” opener as part of DMB’s acoustic first set. The band — which at the time consisted of frontman Dave Matthews, drummer Carter Beauford, bassist Stefan Lessard, fiddler Boyd Tinsley, guitarist Tim Reynolds, saxophonist Jeff Coffin and trumpeter Rashawn Ross — went unplugged for the first frame on each 2014 tour stop before treating fans to an electric second set.

The horns sat out “Recently” in Tampa though Ross contributed backing vocals. Interpolations of both “Pretty Pretty Girl” and “Take Me To The Water” are featured in the seven-minute version of the DMB classic.
