Tonight Dave Matthews Band kick off their annual visit to The Gorge in Quincy, Washington for a run that is said to include the group’s 50th headlining performance at the scenic venue. The band has opened their vault just in time for The Gorge run and have announced two new live archival releases.
The Live Trax series continues with the announcement of Live Trax Vol. 35. The new release, which comes out in mid- October, features DMB’s June 20, 2009 performance at Post-Gazette Pavilion in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. DMB were in the middle of touring behind Big Whiskey And The Groo Grux King, dedicated to the life and legacy of LeRoi Moore. Though this show comes from the group’s first complete tour without Moore, both the performance and the tour itself are considered among the best of the era.
The DMBLive series continues with the immediate release of DMBLive: 10/14/1994. 10/14/1994 features the band’s October 14, 1994 performance at the Georgia Theatre in Athens, Georgia. The show was DMB’s eighth and final performance at the famed venue. Among the highlights are the 14-minute “Seek Up” opener, rarity “Get In Line” and an audience-aided “Recently.”
