Dave Matthews Band joined in honoring reggae great Jimmy Cliff, who passed away on Monday, November 24. DMB shared video of a collaboration with Cliff from a June 26, 2010 China Care Foundation benefit at The Belle Haven Club in Greenwich, Connecticut.

A deluge of tributes have poured in for Jimmy Cliff over the last 24 hours including Los Lobos performing “Sitting In Limbo” at a concert near Chicago hours after news of the legendary reggae artist and actor’s passing.

In 2010, Dave Matthews Band welcomed Jimmy Cliff during the China Care Foundation benefit for a goosebump raising rendition of “Many Rivers To Cross.” Jimmy then led his rousing anthem “The Harder They Come,” also the title of the 1972 film Cliff both wrote music for and starred in. Both songs were Dave Matthews Band debuts, as per DMBAlmanac.

In sharing the video, the band wrote: “We will miss our dear friend Jimmy Cliff. We were lucky to have him while we did.”
