For the first time in over ten years the Dave Matthews Band will pull from 2004 for an installment of their Live Trax series of archival releases. Live Trax Vol. 43 is due on September 22 featuring DMB’s July 27, 2004 performance at HiFi Buys Amphitheatre in Atlanta. The Dave Matthews Band last released a 2004 live show back in 2007, when they issued a recording of August 7, 2004 as Live Trax Vol. 8.

DMB’s July 27, 2004 featured Butch Taylor on keyboards and of course founding member LeRoi Moore was still with us at the time. The group had recently unveiled a slew of new originals and many of them were played in Atlanta including “Sugar Will,” “Joyride,” “Crazy Easy,” “Good Good Time” and “Hello Again.” Dave Matthews Band’s Atlanta ’04 show is also notable for the only “Captain” of the year, a lengthy “Crush” featuring an intro from bassist Stefan Lessard and the first time a full band “Don’t Drink The Water” appeared during in encore since April ’02.

The show opened with “Too Much” featuring elements of “YEAH! WHAT? YEAH!” by Lil’ Jon and finishes with a reprise including similar scatting. Keep your eyes on the DMB Store to pre-order Live Trax Vol. 43 on CD or as a digital download, both available on September 22.
