Dave Matthews Band announced the next installment in their Live Trax archival release series. Live Trax Vol. 65, due out April 5, features their June 12, 1997 concert at the venue known at the time as the Great Woods Performing Arts Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts. The show boasts multiple collaborations with banjo great Béla Fleck.

The DMB website gave some historical context to the Great Woods ‘97 show:

In the Summer of 1997 Dave Matthews Band was no doubt still celebrating the success of their sophomore major label effort, Crash, and the Grammy win for “So Much To Say.” This momentum continued into a tour that included Bela Fleck and the Flecktones as openers. Bela himself was a regular fixture on stage, guesting on tunes that included “Crash Into Me,” “Typical Situation,” “Minarets” and “Ants Marching.” Also featured on this tour was a Dave solo encore work in progress, “Leave Me Praying,” which later became “Don’t Drink the Water,” the first single off the band’s next album.

Fleck joins the classic lineup of guitarist Dave Matthews, drummer Carter Beauford, bassist Stefan Lessard, saxophonist LeRoi Moore and fiddler Boyd Tinsley on all four of the songs mentioned above at Great Woods ‘97 including the “Ants Marching” closer. DMB previewed Live Trax Vol. 65 with the band going it alone for “Drive In, Drive Out,” which came about halfway through the main set. Listen below:
