Dave Matthews Band Dusts Off ‘Recently’ In Kansas

One of the more surprising absences from setlists on the current Dave Matthews Band tour was “Recently,” the group’s first single and a staple of their live performances for years. Last night DMB finally unveiled the 2016 debut of “Recently” as part of a show at Providence Medical Center Amphitheater in Bonner Springs, Kansas.
“Recently” came towards the middle of a set loaded with classics such as “One Sweet World,” “Warehouse,” “Seek Up” and “Don’t Drink The Water.” In fact, DMB only played one of the four songs they’ve debuted in 2016 while most other shows on the tour featured three. “Recently” contained a “Pretty Pretty Girl” outro and bits of “Take Me To The River” thrown in. Matthews and his band ended last night’s show with a cover of “All Along The Watchtower.” It’s now on to Alpine Valley in Wisconsin for a pair of concerts on Friday and Saturday.
