Dave Matthews Band Appears On ‘The Tonight Show’

Dave Matthews Band appeared as musical guests on last night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The group played a song from their new album Come Tomorrow and frontman Dave Matthews sat for an interview and participated in a parody skit.

Dave Matthews Band currently have the No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with Come Tomorrow. The group performed the record’s single “Samurai Cop (Oh Joy Begin).” They teamed with the house band The Roots on a collaborative version of the album track “She,” which was posted as a bonus clip by The Tonight Show.

Matthews was interviewed by the show’s host Jimmy Fallon and revealed the inspiration behind “Samurai Cop (Oh Joy Begin).” The pair also discussed Matthews’ only time performing karaoke, which was overshadowed by actor Ryan Gosling.

Fallon enlisted Matthews for a parody skit that saw the guitarist covering popular hip-hop songs such as “Stir Fry” by Migos, “Gucci Gang” Lil Pump and “Bodak Yellow” by Cardi B. Watch the footage from last night’s episode below:
