Dave Mason’s Medical Journey Forces Full 2025 Tour Cancelation

Ongoing health issues have led Traffic co-founder Dave Mason to cancel all of his 2025 tour dates. The announcement was accompanied by an emotional message from the legendary rocker thanking fans for their support.

Mason’s health struggles began when a routine medical exam last September revealed a serious heart condition, prompting the postponement of his Fall 2024 tour. Despite hopes of resuming performances for Spring and Summer dates, a severe infection acquired during his cardiac recovery in March has prolonged his medical battle.

With deep regret, I must cancel all tour dates for 2025 due to ongoing health issues stemming from the infection I had in March. I’m incredibly grateful to my team of doctors—this has been challenging territory, to say the least.

A heartfelt thank you to all the fans, and to my family, band, agents, and the venues who’ve waited patiently and supported me throughout this journey. Your kind messages have lifted my spirits more than words can express.

Recovery is a long road. My love for you all runs deep.
