Dave Grohl Will Not Perform With Supergroup At The Grammys

Earlier this week organizers of the Grammys revealed Dave Grohl would perform with Anderson .Paak and A Tribe Called Quest at the 59th Grammy Awards ceremony on February 12. Sadly, it appears Grammys’ producers jumped the gun as they’ve walked back their announcement of Grohl’s participation and added a few other performers to the mix.
As Billboard noted, The Recording Academy and AEG Ehrlich Productions issued a statement which read in part, “Earlier this week, we announced that Dave Grohl would be performing with Anderson .Paak and A Tribe Called Quest prior to confirming all participants. Dave Grohl will not be part of this performance. Unfortunately, our announcement was made prematurely. On behalf of The Recording Academy and AEG Ehrlich Productions, we sincerely apologize to all parties involved for our error.”
We’ll soon find out if Grohl performs in a different capacity as he would join a list of Grammy performers that includes Daft Punk and The Weeknd, Metallica, John Legend, Adele, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood as well as newly confirmed acts William Bell & Gary Clark Jr., Chance the Rapper, Little Big Town and Sturgill Simpson.
