Dark Star Orchestra finalized plans for their 26-date summer tour with the announcement of nine new shows. The Grateful Dead tribute act will go coast-to-coast during a run that spans June 28 – August 27.

The band already detailed a series of shows in June and July that will get the tour underway. Dark Star Orchestra kicks off the trek in Waite Park (Minnesota) on June 28 and then hits Kansas City on June 29 and La Vista (Nebraska) on June 30 before heading to Colorado for concerts in Vail on July 3, Bellvue on July 4, Denver on July 4 and Denver on July 5.

Other July stops include Santa Fe (New Mexico) on July 9, Las Vegas on July 10, San Diego on July 11, Berkeley (California) on July 13, Patchogue (New York) on July 20 and Asbury Park (New Jersey) on July 21. Dark Star Orchestra will recreate the Dead’s September 3, 1977 show from Englishtown, New Jersey at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park. “Englishtown is the biggest Grateful Dead show ever held in New Jersey with an estimated 150,000 in attendance,” noted bassist Skip Vangelas. “Its proximity, only 25 miles from Asbury Park, and the fact that it was an epic outdoor show, made sense for us to choose. It’s a classic show in the GD world and one that New Jerseyans, whether Deadhead or not have never forgotten!”

The newly announced shows will take place in the Northeast this August. DSO will play two nights at Wonderland Forest in LaFayette, New York on August 9 and 10. It’s then off to New York City for a concert at The Rooftop at Pier 17 on August 11.

Dark Star Orchestra continues the excursion with previously confirmed performances in the Massachusetts cities of Hyannis on August 14 and Cohasset on August 15. Additional new dates follow in Middlefield (Connecticut) on August 16, Selbyville (Delaware) on August 17. Rochester (New York) on August 21 and Schenectady (New York) on August 22. The tour concludes with a two-night stand at Tree House Brewing Company in Deerfield, Massachusetts on August 26 and 27.

Tickets for the new dates go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 10 at 10 a.m. ET. An Artist Presale using the code TERRAPIN runs from 10 a.m. ET – 10 p.m. ET tomorrow (Thursday, May 9).
