Grateful Dead tribute act Dark Star Orchestra has announced a fall tour. The band will weave their way through the Midwest between September 27 and October 13.
Dark Star Orchestra begins the tour at First Avenue in Minneapolis on September 27. From there, the group heads to Milwaukee for a performance at the Riverside Theatre on September 28 and their hometown of Chicago for a show at The Vic Theatre on September 29. The tour continues with stops in Peoria on October 1, Louisville on October 3 and St. Louis on October 4.
Old National Center’s Egyptian Room in Indianapolis hosts the band on October 5. DSO then brings the tour to Detroit on October 6, Grand Rapids on October 8 and Fort Wayne, Indiana on October 10. The run concludes with visits to Cleveland on October 11, Pittsburgh on October 12 and Columbus on October 13.
Up first for Dark Star Orchestra is an extensive summer tour that includes the band’s first show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on July 8. DSO will team with special guest Donna Jean Godchaux to recreate a concert the Grateful Dead played 40 years earlier on July 8, 1978.
