Daniel Lanois Shares Take On ‘Amazing Grace’ Featuring Aaron Neville & Brian Blade

The single from the acclaimed producer and songwriter arrived with news of a new deal with Warner Records.

Daniel Lanois recently signed a new licensing deal with Warner Records. The acclaimed producer, songwriter and musician also shared an interpretation of “Amazing Grace” featuring Aaron Neville and Brian Blade.

Lanois released his 1989 solo debut Acadie on Opal/Warner Bros in 1989. Daniel’s new licensing arrangement with Warner includes a career-spanning catalog arriving via the label on streaming platforms including For The Beauty of Wynona (1993), Shine (2003), Rockets (2004), Belladonna (2005) and Flesh And Machine (2014).

The new deal also covers Lanois’ new releases, including “Grace,” Daniel’s take on the hymn “Amazing Grace.” The composer tapped Aaron Neville to add his iconic voice to the track and renowned drummer Brian Blade to add improvised rhythmic textures to the track.
