Guitarist Daniel Donato swung by New York City listener-supported public radio station WFUV’s Studio A in October to film and record a set. Donato went solo for his FUV Live Sessions performance, which featured three songs from his latest studio album, Reflector, and can be viewed below.
Donato was in the Big Apple for a three-night stand with his Cosmic Country band at Brooklyn Bowl spanning October 24 – 26, 2024. The Nashville-based musician made his way to Studio A on the 25th.

Reflector, Donato’s sophomore studio album, was released on November 10, 2023. The 15-track LP saw Donato backed by Cosmic Country and was the proper follow-up to his 2020 debut album, A Young Man’s Country.
Daniel Donato delivered stripped-down renditions of Reflector tracks “Half Moon Night,” “Lose Your Mind” and “Dance In The Desert” for FUV Live Sessions. The guitarist’s nimble fretboard work on his signature Telecaster is on full display throughout the set. While Donato has used both “Lose Your Mind” and “Dance In The Desert” as a springboard to lengthy improvisation in concert, he kept his in-studio versions concise.
