Dane Cook Recounts Bombing In Front Of Phish Crowd

On October 30, 1992 Phish headlined a concert at Boston Garden put together by radio station WBCN that featured a few opening acts including a local comedy troupe. While the night went fine for the Vermonters, Dane Cook, who was part of that comedy troupe, recalls the experience as the “Worst I Ever Bombed” for a The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon web series.
Cook explains that the troupe was put on directly before Phish and that the crowd became impatient waiting for the quartet to come on stage. According to Dane, Phish fans threw shoes and lighters at the comedians and the experience left a big impact on him. Take it away, Dane:
