Cover Alert | Punch Brothers Cover The Strokes

Punch Brothers recently stopped by the A.V. Club to participate in the sixth season of the Undercover series. The bluegrass group composed of banjo player Noam Pikelny, guitarist Chris Eldridge, bassist Paul Kowert, violinist Gabe Witcher and mandolin player Chris Thile recorded a cover of a well-known The Strokes song as the first installment in this year’s series.




Thile and crew covered “Reptilia” from The Strokes’ 2003 second LP Room On Fire, which was among the pre-selected songs chosen by the A.V. Club to be covered by participating artists in the 2015 Undercover tapings. Punch Brothers had previously recorded a cover of a The Cars song for the Undercover series in 2012.
