Courtney Barnett’s sophomore album Tell Me How You Really Feel will be released on May 18 via Mom + Pop, Marathon Artists and her own Milk! Records label. The Australia-native guitarist shared the video for the record’s third officially released single, “City Looks Pretty.”

The 10-track upcoming LP follows-up Barnett’s 2015 debut album Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit. She collaborated with guitarist Kurt Vile on the 2017 album Lotta Sea Lice and the pair teamed up for a tour in support of the joint record.

Barnett began writing the songs that make up Tell Me How You Feel in 2016. The album first began to formalize during sessions held with producer Burke Reid at The Grove Studios on the central coast of New South Wales. Later in 2017, Barnett’s regular supporting cast of bassist Bones Sloane on bass and drummer Dave Mudie, as well as multi-instrumentalist/producer Dan Luscombe and Reid (just as on Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit) came together to complete the new album. The Breeders’ Kelley Deal and her band mate/sister Kim Deal also appear as guests on the record.
