Courtney Barnett Performs ‘Need A Little Time’ On The Current

Courtney Barnett is in the midst of a North American tour in support of her sophomore full-length album Tell Me How You Really Feel. Last week the 30-year-old singer-songwriter’s summer run brought her to Minneapolis where she performed at Surly Brewing.
While in the Twin Cities, Barnett stopped by local public radio station The Current for an in-studio performance and interview session. Barnett along with bassist Bones Sloane, keyboardist Katie Harkin and drummer Dave Mudie delivered takes on “Sunday Roast,” “Nameless, Faceless” and “Need A Little Time.” Barnett also discussed with host Mac Wilson her songwriting process, as well as how Barnett got Kim and Kelley Deal of The Breeders to collaborate with her on a pair of tracks on her new record .
