Couch Tour Alert | WWOZ Jazz Fest Audio

New Orleans Jazz and Heritage community radio station WWOZ 90.7 FM will again broadcast portions of this weekend and next weekend’s New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Starting each day of the fest at 11 a.m. and continuing until 7 p.m. WWOZ 90.7 as well as www.wwoz.org and several partner stations in Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Mississippi and California will air live and taped Jazz Fest performances as well as album tracks by Jazz Fest artists, interviews and feature stories about various other aspects of the festival.
 

Snarky Puppy, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Vieux Farka Toure, Delfeayo Marsalis and Kermit Ruffins are among the featured artists selected by WWOZ this year. “We are sharing the wealth of our music, our community, with people all across the country now,” said WWOZ program director Dwayne Breashears told The Times-Picayune. In addition, WWOZ will air select late night performances in The Crescent City including The Word on Sunday night at 10 p.m. CT.
