Couch Tour Alert | Alabama Shakes Live Webcast Tonight

Tonight NPR and KCRW are streaming a live webcast of Alabama Shakes performing in Los Angeles as part of the Apogee Sessions series. Alabama Shakes’ sophomore album, Sound & Color is being released tomorrow, Tuesday April 21 via ATO Records and the band is expected to play songs from the new record this evening. In addition to tonight’s webcast, NPR is also streaming Sound & Color as part of its First Listen series.

Beginning at 7 p.m. PT, Alabama Shakes will perform in front of 180 guests at producer/engineer Bob Clearmountain and Apogee Electronics’ intimate Apogee Studio. Brittany Howard and the rest of The Shakes will stick around L.A. to play Jimmy Kimmel Live tomorrow night. They then head overseas for a brief run of shows in Europe prior to a massive summer tour that sees the band trekking across North America and back to Europe.
