Renowned musician Col. Bruce Hampton recently participated in the Apparently This Matters interview series. The veteran performer talked with host Jarrett Bellini about a variety of topics during the discussion.

Among the topics the Aquarium Rescue Unit mastermind touched upon were Hampton’s thoughts on current music (“The music of today is horrifying”), some of his favorite contemporary artists whose music isn’t horrifying (The Campbell Brothers, Quebe Sisters, Lake Street Drive), his practice regime, how he puts the lineup of a new band together, his love for Del McCoury Band and Derek Trucks, his favorite guitars, films he’s currently developing and more.
