The Claypool Lennon Delirium Covers King Crimson

Throughout their current tour in support of their recently issued debut album The Monolith Of Phobos, The Claypool Lennon Delirium has worked a variety of covers into their live setlists, offering takes on Pink Floyd and The Beatles as well as songs from bassist Les Claypool’s band Primus and guitarist Sean Ono Lennon’s project The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger. A song by another legendary band, prog rock forerunners King Crimson, has also been incorporated into Delirium shows.
The past two concerts held by The Claypool Lennon Delirium have featured covers of “In The Court Of The Crimson King.” The encore on Friday at The Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, California began with the title track to the 1969 King Crimson debut album which was paired with Primus’ “Southbound Pachyderm.” The prog rock cover was reprised at Saturday’s show at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, Arizona – this time coming in the middle of the band’s main set.
