Classic Neil Young And Crazy Horse Footage From 1976 Emerges

Thanks to a heads up from our friends at Dangerous Minds we wanted to share an amazing 35 minutes worth of pro-shot footage from one of Neil Young’s best tours -his visit to Europe with Crazy Horse in 1976. This clip was filmed at London’s Hammersmith Odeon during a four-night run that Young diehards often cite as one of Neil’s live peaks.

We get to see Young perform a solo acoustic version of “Tell Me Lies,” before he heads to the piano for “Stringman” and straps on a banjo for “Human Highway.” The electric Crazy Horse madness starts with an otherworldly “Down By The River” and comes to a climax on “Cortez The Killer.” There’s even footage of Neil busking in Scotland thrown in as a filler.
