Chris Thile hosted A Prairie Home Companion on Saturday afternoon at the San Diego Civic Theatre in San Diego. The mandolin-playing host was joined by Richard Dworsky and The First-Call Radio Players for a cover of a song originally performed by Vulfpeck.

Dworsky, the program’s musical director, played piano along with fiddler Brittany Haas, guitarist Chris Eldridge, bassist Alan Hampton and percussionist Ted Poor. Thile led the ensemble through an arrangement of “Fugue State,” the title track from Vulfpeck’s 2014 EP.
