Chris Stapleton Takes ‘Saturday Night Live’ ‘Higher’

Chris Stapleton was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live this past weekend. The acclaimed singer-songwriter performed two cuts off his November 2023 studio album, Higher.

Chris Stapleton co-produced Higher with his wife Morgane Stapleton and longtime collaborator Dave Cobb. The album arrived on November 10, 2023.

Stapleton began his third SNL appearance with Higher’s sole advance single, “White Horse,” which recently garnered the singer-songwriter two Grammys for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song. The guitarist was joined by Morgane on vocals/tambourine , drummer Derek Mixon, bassist Jarrod Travis, guitarist Mike Eli LoPinto and pedal steel legend Paul Franklin.

Chris also joined host Ryan Gosling and SNL cast members Ego Nwodim, Chloe Fineman and Chloe Troast for the musical comedy sketch, “Get That Boy Back.” Check that out:
