Back in January Rich Robinson issued a statement announcing that The Black Crowes had broken up. Earlier today, his brother and fellow founding band member Chris Robinson appeared on HuffPo Live to chat about his current band The Chris Robinson Brotherhood, as well as confirm that The Black Crowes are no longer together.

“The Black Crowes have broken up. They don’t want the Black Crowes to be, it’s not gonna be. I would have preferred to just left it be. [Rich Robinson and I] never really had much of a relationship … You write some songs and that record sells 6 million copies and then you keep going … You know, like I said, joy is what I’m after,” Chris Robinson told host Ricky Camilleri. When asked if The Black Crowes brought him joy, Chris responded by saying, “No, not really.”
