By Scott Bernstein Nov 20, 2016 8:51 am PST

The Chris Robinson Brotherhood brought their fall tour to the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on Saturday night. Robinson and his band ended the evening at the historic venue with a debut cover of “Rock & Roll” by The Velvet Underground.

Over the course of 2016 The CRB has released a new full-length album, Anyway You Love, We Know How You Feel, and an EP, If You Lived Here, You Would Be Home By Now. The Chris Robinson Brotherhood treated fans at The Cap to plenty of material off each last night, filling the setlist with five songs from the full-length and three songs from the EP.

In typical CRB fashion, the band also played a bevy of covers. The first set featured takes on Joe Tex’s “I Want To (Do Everything For You)” and “Lazy Days” by The Byrds, while the second set included versions of “Saturday Night In Oak Grove, Louisiana” by Tony Joe White and Steppenwolf’s “Magic Carpet Ride.” Saturday’s encore was the slot the band used to unveil their take on The Velvet Underground’s Loaded gem “Rock & Roll.” Tonight, The CRB end an East Coast swing with a performance at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C.
