Last night, the Chris Robinson Brotherhood brought their West Coast Tour to Lobero Theater in Santa Barbara, California. The group’s encore started with the debut of the traditional tune “Been All Around This World,” a song Jerry Garcia sang with a variety of projects over the years including the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Acoustic Band.
The history of “Been All Around This World” dates back over 100 years and has been detailed by Whitegum.com. Chris and Co. worked the cover debut into a two- song encore last night that ended with The CRB’s take on “Girl From The North Country” by Bob Dylan. The cover debut saw drummer Tony Leone play mandolin, while keyboardist Adam MacDougall handled drumming duties.
