“‘Fly’ is a song that you hope for as a songwriter. Lighting in a bottle, straight up! It’s the kind that comes organically from the universe, and if you get out of the way, it takes shape effortlessly into the song it needs to be,” wrote Chicano Batman of the song in a statement when Notebook Fantasy was announced.

Frontman Bardo Martinez silky vocals propel “Fly” along with potent guitar work by Carlos Arévalo. Bassist Eduardo Arenas lays down an unshakeable groove throughout. The song is accented by the powerful harmonies provided by the backing vocalists.
