Famed rock-and-roll photographer Jay Blakesberg will present a pair of Chasing The Light slideshow/storytelling events later this fall featuring stories from his amazing 38-year career. Jay will talk about how his love for photography started in 1978 after his father gave him an old camera to shoot the Grateful Dead and will continue on with tales of life on the road touring with the band and shooting some of his favorite bands live including Hot Tuna, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, The Who and Bob Dylan.

Each presentation will run approximately 75 minutes as Blakesberg provides audiences with an engaging, fast moving “all access” pass to the exclusive world of rock and roll highlighted by Jay’s epic tales of shooting Tom Waits, Neil Young, Primus, Eddie Vedder and many others. The photographer will also discuss his role serving as official photographer for last year’s Fare Thee Well – Celebrating 50 Years Of Grateful Dead concerts.

The first Chasing The Light event will take place at Garcia’s in Port Chester, New York on Saturday, October 29 between 4 and 5:30 p.m. ahead of the Phil Lesh & Friends concert at the adjacent Capitol Theatre. Then, Jay will present Chasing The Light at Davis Auditorium on the campus of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York on Tuesday, November 1 starting at 7 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.
