Charley Crockett shared a new song, “Killers of the Flower Moon,” co-written with T Bone Burnett. The song is based on the events that inspired David Grann’s 2017 book Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI and the new Martin Scorsese film Killers of the Flower Moon, which arrived in theaters today.
Crockett and Burnett wrote “Killers Of The Flower Moon” two years ago, telling the tale of a series of greed and hate-driven murders of Osage people in the 1920s in Osage County, Oklahoma. Crockett recorded the track just last week in his home state of Texas at Fort Horton Studio and Bud’s Recording Service in Austin. Friends and collaborators Billy Horton (bass) and Jay Moeller (drums) contributed to the song.
