Watch Charles Wesley Godwin Cut ‘Family Ties’ On ‘Colbert’

The singer-songwriter performed the title track from his most recent album for the late-night audience.

West Virginia-based singer-songwriter Charles Wesley Godwin was the musical guest on Monday’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The appearance featured a performance of the title track to his latest album, Family Ties.

The expansive 19-track Family Ties was released in 2023 through the Big Loud Records label. The release was his third album, following 2019’s Seneca.

Joining Godwin for the late-night performance was his backing band The Allegheny High consisting of Al Torrence and Eric Dull on guitar, Amico Demuzio on banjo, Joe Pinchotti III on drums, Nate Catanzarite on bass and Max Somerville on keyboards.
