Cereus Bright Announces Tour & Shares Stayin’ Alive Cover

Cereus Bright recently unveiled a video showing their folk-based, unusually dark cover of the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive” featuring a full backing string section. “”Stayin’ Alive’ is a fantastic song to cover. It’s fun, and recognizable, and everyone has heard it but very few people have taken the time to listen to it. It’s not just a upbeat pop song, but also a song about confidence, fear, death and identity, all built on solid melodies. In other words, it’s a good song, and it deserves to be listened to. Plus, it gives us an excuse to play disco, so it’s a win-win,” singer Tyler Anthony said about the cover choice. Take a look:
