Central Jazz Summer Festival Announces 2018 Lineup

Central City Jazz Festival was held in Central City, Colorado between 1976 and 1992. Organizers are reviving the event as Central Jazz, which will take place on June 9 in the mountain town of Central City. The NOLA-heavy lineup for the event, which will span four stages in various locations throughout the town, has been confirmed.
Dragon Smoke featuring Eric Lindell with members of Galactic and Dumpstaphunk are on board for the event as is a group dubbed NOLA Central All-Stars consisting of Ivan Neville, Ian Neville, Alvin Ford Jr., George Porter Jr., Nick Daniels and Tony Hall. A version of the Joe Marcinek Band that finds the guitarist joined by Melvin Seals and Tony Hall has also been confirmed for Central Jazz ’18. Meanwhile, Lettuce drummer Adam Deitch will serve up the Colorado debut of the Adam Deitch Jazz Quartet, while Porter Jr. will lead George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners. Check out the lineup below.
