The Capitol Theatre Announces Free Stream Of Bob Weir Birthday Show

By Scott Bernstein Oct 16, 2016 12:00 pm PDT

This Sunday, October 16 marks the birthday of Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir. Bobby will celebrate the occasion with a Campfire Tour performance at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. If you can’t make it to The Cap in person, there’s an option to watch from home or wherever you have an internet connection.

If the format of Sunday’s show stays in line with other performances on the tour, expect Weir to start the evening with a handful of solo acoustic selections before welcoming his band for the rest of the first set focusing on material from Blue Mountain. The second set will focus on songs from the Grateful Dead repertoire. Bobby’s band for the tour sees him joined by guitarist Steve Kimock, The National drummer Bryan Devendorf, WOLF! bassist Jon Shaw, Blue Mountain co-producer Josh Kaufman and The National multi-instrumentalist Scott Devendorf.

The webcast, powered by nugs.tv, can be viewed right here at JamBase starting around 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 16:
