Hartford’s The Capitol Groove Festival Unveils Cap Groove All-Stars Lineup

The inaugural The Capitol Groove music festival featuring headliners My Morning Jacket, Dispatch, The Revivalists and The Head and the Heart will take over Bushnell Park in Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30. Organizers recently revealed the musicians who will join forces as The Cap Groove All-Stars on the first day of the event.

The Cap Groove All-Stars consists of Hartford musicians selected specifically to embody the vibe and spirit of the event for a one of a kind collaboration. The talented ensemble will kick off The Capitol Groove at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 29.

Legendary Living Colour bassist Doug Wimbish and Tom Sullivan (West End Blend, The New Mosaic) will hold down the bottom end for The Cap Groove All-Stars, while drummer Dwayne Keith (Nikita, The New Mosaic) will be behind the kit. Vocals will be handled by the dynamic trio of Erica Tracy (West End Blend, The New Mosaic), Briana Maia and Brandon Serafino. Keyboardist Paulie Philippone (West End Blend, Ryan Montbleau) and guitarist Andy Sorenson round out The Cap Groove All-Stars.

My Morning Jacket, The Revivalists, Shakey Graves, Trampled by Turtles, Ozomatli and Say She She will each perform at The Capitol Groove on Saturday, June 29 after The Cap Groove All-Stars open the festival. The Capitol Groove will present sets by Dispatch, The Head And The Heart, Guster, Trevor Hall, Tank & The Bangas, The Suffers and Vincent Lima on Sunday, June 30. One stage means there will be no overlapping sets.
