Back in February, filmmaker and writer Cameron Crowe mentioned he was involved in prepping a documentary about two-time Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer David Crosby during an appearance on Alec Baldwin’s podcast. Crowe has now officially confirmed his role as producer of the upcoming flick. Billboard’s report includes the news A.J. Eaton will direct the as-of-yet untitled documentary.
“David Crosby has been near the forefront of music and social change for the last four decades. Now 76, he’s forging a new path by seeking out younger musicians and trying to make a mark in a world now so different from the generation he came to define in the 60’s,” Crowe said in a statement.

Crowe first met David Crosby when Cameron was just 15-years-old and writing for Rolling Stone. “It’s a raw and moving portrait, rough edges and all. We’re also so proud of the work being done by our wonderful director A.J. Eaton who’s been filming Croz for the last several years,” Crowe added. BMG will serve as executive producer. Look for the movie to cover David Crosby’s career from his days in the Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young through his current solo career.
David Crosby returns to the road next month.
