The California Honeydrops Share ‘In Your Arms’ Single

The track is another preview of the band’s upcoming new album, ‘Soft Spot.’

The California Honeydrops dropped a new single, “In Your Arms.” The track was recorded for the band’s new album, Soft Spot, which is set to arrive on October 7 via the group’s Tubtone Records label.

The Bay Area-based outfit’s last original full-length studio album was 2018’s two-volume release, Call It Home. The California Honeydrops – vocalist/guitarist/trumpeter Lech Wierzynkski, drummer Ben Malament, bassist Beau Bradbury, keyboardist Lorenzo Loera and clarinet/saxophonist Johnny Bones – released a covers album, Covers From The Cave, in 2022 and an original EP, Just One More, And Then Some, in 2020.

    The California Honeydrops detailed a new album, ‘Soft Spot,’ and shared the single, ‘Takin’ My Time.’

“In Your Arms” premiered via Under The Radar, with Wierzynkski describing the song to the outlet by stating:

“Love and good loving are a great relief in hard times if you can find em. This tune is an ode to dreaming of love and making love happen as well as tribute to the music of Hi Records from Memphis. It started out as my first home pandemic recording project. I had always disliked recording because it meant time spent in front of the dreaded computer screen. My good friend suggested that I buy a tape machine to help me with my hang ups. With his help and no gigs and lots of time I rigged up a lill recording situation in the living room. We jammed this tune with the band, listened back to the tape and knew it was a keeper.”
