Cage The Elephant recently came to KROQ’s Helpful Honda Sound Space to deliver a nine-song performance for the Los Angeles area radio station. The band from Bowling Green, Kentucky offered songs from their new album Neon Pill and back catalog gems.

Neon Pill arrived on May 17 via RCA Records. Cage The Elephant fittingly kicked off their KROQ session with the title track.

The band — frontman Matt Shultz, guitarists Brad Shultz and Nick Bockrath, bassist Daniel Tichenor, drummer Jared Champion and keyboardist Matthan Minster — kept the title tracks coming with “Social Cues” from their 2019 album ahead of Neon Pill’s “Good Time.”

CtE then doubled up on a pair of older favorites with “Good” and “Ain’t’ No Rest For The Wicked.” Next, Matt Shultz and company returned to Neon Pill with “Rainbow” and “HiFi (True Light)”

Following “Shake Me Down,” CtE delivered hits “Cigarette Daydreams” and “Come a Little Closer” from their landmark 2013 album, Melophobia, to close the session.
