Cage Claypool Guests With Les Claypool Duo De Twang

Les Claypool’s Duo de Twang wrapped up a quick February jaunt over the weekend at WinterWonderGrass and while we reported on Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith’s guest appearance on Thursday night, there was a very special guest who sat in on Friday. Les’s teenage son Cage Claypool guested at various points of Friday night’s Duo de Twang show at the Avalon Theater in Grand Junction.

Cage sat in with his dad and Bryan Kehoe to sing on a handful of songs on Friday including “A Boy Named Sue,” “Battle Of New Orleans” and “Cocaine Blues.” The younger Claypool also guested on a version of “Pipeline” that featured Reformed Whores.
