Last weekend, jamgrass outfit Cabinet once again hosted the Susquehanna Breakdown at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain in their hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania. The event got underway Friday night, highlighted by a set by The Larry Keel Experience followed by Larry Keel joining the hosts for a collaborative set, followed by a stand-alone Cabinet set. Saturday’s action saw performances on two stages and in the VIP area with Cornmeal getting things going on the main stage, trailed by an acoustic Cabinet set the ended with many of their family members on stage for a take on “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes.” The afternoon also featured a performance by The Infamous Stringdusters and another electric Cabinet set featuring second drummer Josh Karis. Veteran bluegrass ensemble Railroad Earth followed the hosts’ set offering a pair of debuts and Vermont jam quartet Twiddle delivered a late night finale. Photographer Sam Watson was in Scranton for the festival, view his gallery below followed by recordings of a few sets including a number of special performances from throughout the day in the VIP area.
