Keyboardist Butch Taylor Leaves Dave Matthews Band

A brief message on dmband.com states that, “Keyboardist Butch Taylor has decided to leave Dave Matthews Band. We are saddened by this sudden news but he has our full support. He’s given so much to us and our audience through the years and he will be missed.”

Having played live with DMB since 2001 and appearing as early as 1998 on the band’s album Before These Crowded Streets, the sudden departure comes as a shock. No details are currently available.

The Dave Matthews Band’s next show is on May 30 at Post Gazette Pavilion in Burgettstown, PA. Complete tour dates available here…
