Bruce Springsteen Visits ‘The Tonight Show’
By Scott Bernstein Dec 18, 2015 • 6:20 am PST

Last night, Bruce Springsteen returned to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for an appearance in support of the recently released The Ties That Bind: The River Collection. Springsteen chatted with Fallon, who was in full fanboy mode throughout.
Bruce talked about the long and tenuous process that led to the creation of The River, the double album from 1980 he’ll be performing at all stops on a 2016 Tour. The Boss also revealed he originally wrote “Hungry Heart” for the Ramones, but eventually decided to keep it for himself. Fallon asked house band The Roots to play “Hungry Heart” in the style of the Ramones and they complied.
