Every time we post an article about Bruce Springsteen, one of our Facebook followers will lament that The Boss and his band aren’t a jamband. Well first off we don’t only cover jambands, but beyond that two characteristics of jambands is that they change their setlist from night-to-night and that their shows contain improv. Both of those elements are found at Springsteen’s marathon shows, so it’s no surprise Bruce’s fans have longed for the day when he would make downloads of his performances available for download soon after each show. It appears that day has come.

The official Bruce Springsteen Twitter account tweeted the following:

A follow-up tweet clarified, “Shows will be available to download within approx. 48 hrs. after the concert ends. Online orders begin next week. Stay tuned for more info!” It appears these wristbands will allow you to download one show from the tour. Want to download multiple shows? Buy more than one wristband. The Boss has been busting out songs from his massive repertoire at a fast and furious pace over the past few years and now fans who can’t attend can hear official recordings soon after reach show.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band kick off what looks to be another busy year of touring on January 26 in Cape Town, South Africa. A press release that has just been issued  by Springsteen’s publicist at Shorefire says, “additional tour dates expected to be announced” giving hope to Bruce fans waiting for him to return to North America beyond his Jazz Fest appearance.
