Bruce Springsteen To Perform At Asbury Lanes Reopening Event

Next Monday, June 18 Bruce Springsteen will come home to Asbury Park, New Jersey to perform at the city’s Asbury Lanes. The concert in honor of Asbury Lanes’ re-opening will be headlined by Portugal. The Man with The Boss listed as special guest of the Tangiers Blues Band.

Asbury Lanes underwent two years of renovations ahead of its soft opening last month. The venue features six lanes for bowling and will host concerts from the likes of Kurt Vile, Gogol Bordello, The Hold Steady and Joan Of Arc over the next few months. A lottery for tickets is open to Asbury Park residents and available here. There’s also a sweepstakes for a pair of tickets to the opening event plus a night at The Asbury Hotel after the concert that can be entered here.

Longtime area resident Bruce Springsteen has been focusing his musical attention on his Springsteen On Broadway series of late. The Tangiers Blues Band features photographer Danny Clinch who has a long history of working with The Boss.
