Bruce Springsteen released a live archival recording documenting a concert on his 1999 Reunion Tour with the E Street Band. The show, available via nugs.net, took place at the Oakland Arena in Oakland, California on October 28, 1999.
The Reunion Tour marked Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s first extended trek in more than 10 years and largely featured the classic E Street Band lineup: drummer Max Weinberg, guitarist Stevie Van Zandt, saxophonist Clarence Clemons, bassist Garry Tallent, pianist Roy Bittan, organist Danny Federici, guitarist Nils Lofgren and vocalist/guitarist Patti Scialfa.

The Reunion Tour kicked off in Europe before returning to North America throughout the summer and fall of 1999. The recently released archival recording captures the finale of a three-show run at Oakland Arena on October 28.
“The 24-song set gets off to a bang-bang start with ‘Adam Raised a Cain’ into ‘Prove It All Night,’ and that energy carries on through ‘Atlantic City,’ ‘Youngstown’ and ‘Murder Incorporated,’” press materials for the set noted.
The concert also saw a 19-minute “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out” medley where The Boss introduces the E Street Band over snapshots of Curtis Mayfield’s “It’s All Right,” Al Green’s “Take Me To The River” and more.
New Jersey legend Southside Johnny joined the group for a sing-along on “Hungry Heart” to kick off the first encore. The rest of the bonus frames included customary classics such as “Born to Run” and “Thunder Road.” The show came to a close with a rare rendition of “Blinded By The Light.”
Toward the end of the main set, Bruce offered stripped-down renderings of two songs from his time off with the E Street Band beginning with the title track to his 1995 album The Ghost of Tom Joad. Another Joad cut, “Sinaloa Cowboys,” followed, the sole E Street Band performance of the song.
