Bruce Springsteen shared the previously unreleased song, “Faithless.” The title track from an album intended to soundtrack a “movie that was never made” will land on the forthcoming collection Tracks II: The Lost Albums, out June 27 via Sony Music.
Springsteen has previously previewed “lost” albums on Tracks II with “Rain in the River” off the record Perfect World and “Blind Spot” from Streets of Philadelphia Sessions. Additional unreleased albums on the collection include Somewhere North of Nashville, Inyo, Twilight Hours and LA Garage Sessions ’83.

The album Faithless was created for a film described as a “spiritual western.” Springsteen wrote the material for the movie, 11 songs including four instrumental arrangements intended as interstitial pieces for the film, before a single frame was shot in a prolific two week session in Florida. Bruce recorded the music between the conclusion of the Devils & Dust Tour in November 2005 and the arrival of April 2006’s We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions.
On Faithless Springsteen said:
“This was a really unusual collection of songs. You could recognize details and maybe a character or two. But for the most part, I just wrote atmospheric music that I thought would fit.”
Faithless saw contributions from producer Ron Aniello, touring members of The E Street Band — Soozie Tyrell, Lisa Lowell, Curtis King, Jr., Michelle Moore and Ada Dyer — along with members of Bruce’s family Patti Scialfa, Evan Springsteen and Sam Springsteen.
