By Andy Kahn Jan 3, 2017 9:46 am PST

Last year accomplished rocker Bruce Springsteen released his first book entitled Born To Run. The Boss spoke with comedian Marc Maron about many of the topics covered in the 500-page memoir for Maron’s WTF Podcast.

Maron traveled to New Jersey to Springsteen’s home for the nearly hour-long chat. The pair covered many topics, mostly focusing on aspects of The Boss’ personal life. They talked extensively about Springsteen’s parents, particularly his father who struggled with mental illness. Bruce also discussed addressing his own mental health issues and his approach to fatherhood.

The Boss talked about the impact of his road trip around the recording of Nebraska, his comfort on stage performing and how music has often been used as a coping mechanism. Maron asked about Springsteen’s view of the future in light of the election of Donald Trump while not getting too deep into politics. Head here for more on the interview and stream it below:
