Bruce Hornsby & James Mercer Perform ‘My Resolve’ For ‘Colbert’

Bruce Hornsby teamed up with The Shins frontman James Mercer remotely to contribute to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’s #PlayAtHome video series. Hornsby and Mercer performed “My Resolve” from Bruce’s recently released Non-Secure Connection studio album.

“My Resolve” was the lead single off Non-Secure Connection and features Mercer sharing vocals with Hornsby. The guest-filled LP came out last month with contributors including Justin Vernon, Vernon Reid, Jamila Woods and yMusic’s Hideaki Aomori. Watch James and Bruce perform “My Resolve,” which Hornsby describes as “a Sisyphean tale of the creative life, sung with a fellow climber”:
